SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
PENDER COUNTY, NC — PCS Camp Invention is gearing up to host an exciting STEM summer camp tailored for curious kids currently in grades K-5. The camp promises to be a confidence-boosting experience where participants will engage in building creative inventions and forming lasting friendships.
Led by qualified local educators, PCS Camp Invention offers new and exciting hands-on experiences every year. The camp is scheduled to run from July 8, 2024 through July 12, 2024 and will operate from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM daily at three locations:
C.F. Pope Elementary
North Topsail Elementary
Rocky Point Elementary
The primary objectives of the camp include helping children grow their confidence, enhancing problem-solving skills, combating summer learning loss, improving academic achievement, and introducing them to innovative role models.
Participation in the PCS Camp Invention program is facilitated through various means:
Cost: $270 per child.
Scholarships: Available for students attending Title I schools and for students identified as Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG). Scholarship applications can be accessed through a provided link at the top of the page or obtained in paper format at each participating elementary school.
Registration: For those not applying for a scholarship, registration and payment submission can be completed through the "register now" link provided at the top of the page.
