Penderlea Elementary Science Fair
Penderlea hosted an amazing night on December 6. We celebrated music and science with a packed house!
Prior to December 6, each of the K-3 classrooms completed a science fair project as a group and had their project board on display in the atrium of the school for our evening event! Penderlea is encouraging all students to enjoy science!
Beginning in October, groups of three students in grades 4 and 5 completed projects in school. During the day of December 6, their projects were judged by 4 people from the community: Scott Linke and Chason Johnson, each from Johnson Nursery, Sally Fields, Coordinator of Century 21 After School and Ms. Fowler, a second grade teacher at Penderlea. Students were interviewed about their projects and the judges used a rubric to evaluate each project.
All the projects were displayed during the music night in the gym. Parents and family members were able to see all the hard work completed by the students. Winners were announced between the middle school band performance and the elementary singers! It was a very exciting and entertaining evening!
