Good evening Penderlea Families,
Here are some important information and updates for the week of April 7th through April 12th.
Word of the Week
This week’s Word of the Week is Reveal. Reveal means to make something known to others
Please re-enforce the use of this word at home.
Penderlea Day
We’re less than one week away from Penderlea Day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Date: Saturday, April 12th
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Penderlea School
This event is more than just fun – it’s a school-wide fundraiser to support our students, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
Can’t make it in person? No problem! You can still support Penderlea School by scanning the QR code on the flier or visiting https://bit.ly/DonatePenderleaDay to make a donation. Every contribution makes a difference for our students.
Who’s Getting Pied at Penderlea Day?!
Who wants to see Mr. Harris or Dr. Goodlett get a pie in the face? At Penderlea Day, whichever staff member raises the most money, will get “pied”! Each day this week we will have two containers in the cafeteria where you can drop in any coins you wish to contribute. Dollar bills can be dropped in, also! Simply drop your money in the container for the principal you would like to receive the special prize!! Then attend Penderlea Day to watch the fun!
4th Grade Substance Misuse
4th Grade will be participating in a 1 hour substance misuse program in conjunction with the Pender County Health Dept. An opt out form with more information about this class was sent home March 31st. Please only return this form with your students information if you do NOT want them to participate in this program. For any questions or concerns please contact Nurse Bain.
Attendance Announcements
Congratulations to Ms. Hedrick and Mr. David’s homeroom class for hitting the second tier of attendance incentives! This means that this class has had 95 percent of students attend 20 or more days since the start of the new semester!
Strategic Plan Update
Pender County Schools has partnered with RTI International to create its next strategic plan and we need your feedback on what we have developed thus far.
