Dr. Goodlett has over 17 years of experience in education and deeply values the power of building strong relationships between students, staff, and the community to drive school success. With a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry minor, Dr. Goodlett began her career in education as a Lateral Entry teacher in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools where she earned her certification as a middle and high school science teacher. She furthered her education by earning a Master of Teaching at Winston-Salem State University, a Post-Master’s Certificate at UNCG, a Specialist in Education at UNCG, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at UNCG. Dr. Goodlett served as a Curriculum and an Assistant Principal for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools before relocating to the area in 2018. She has served the past six years as an Assistant Principal in New Hanover County.
Outside of her professional roles, Dr. Goodlett is a wife to a high school educator and a mom of two beautiful daughters. Her family originated in Pender County where she enjoys spending the weekends with extended family and gardening.
