8th graders will be visiting Pender High School for a transition event on Friday, February 2. Permission slips went home on 1/16. These must be returned by 1/26/24. Pender High School will host parents and their rising 9th graders at an open house on Tuesday, February 6 from 5-7 pm in the gymnasium. Students and parents can talk to representatives from each department about possible course selections. Students may also register at this event through PowerSchool for their preferred electives with a parent present.
It is time to start planning the 8th grade dance! We are having a parent interest meeting to discuss plans on Thursday, February 1st at 3:15 in the media center. Please plan to attend if you are interested in helping.
Basketball will be playing away at Cape Fear on Tuesday and at West Pender on Thursday. Games start at 4:30 and admission is $5 cash only. Come support our Hornets!
All Elementary Science Olympiad members will meet on Tuesday next week. On Wednesday only members with a building event will need to stay. For middle school science Olympiad only students who have a building event will come on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. No practice on Thursday.
Candy grams will be for sale February 5th-9th. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon. If you would like to donate blow pops for this athletic fundraiser, please send them to the office as soon as possible.
