Hello Penderlea families we hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving with friends and family! Here are announcements for the week ahead.

We will have our final home soccer game of the season on December 4th.  We will recognize and honor our 8th grade players between the girls & boys game. The girls game will begin at 3:30pm and the boys game will immediately follow.  Gate fee is $5 for school age children and older.  Pender High Booster passes do work for our home games.  Come out and support our Hornets!

Middle School Science Olympiad practice will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday until 4.

We have attached a Student Perception Survey for the Fall of 2023.

We would like to get feedback from our K-8 *students on how they feel about their Health and Safety while at school. We would like to use this information in our School Improvement Planning. No names will be attached to the data. It will simply be shared with percentages indicating yes, no, or not sure.

As their parent or guardian, please review the questions. If you are okay with them submitting the survey, please allow them to answer the questions and then submit the google form. I have set it up so that it can be filled out more than once (for families with multiple children).

Please let me know if you have any questions.

The last day to donate and help our Beta students with the Students Against Hunger Campaign, is Monday, November 27th. The Students Against Hunger Campaign helps support the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Donations can be non-perishable foods, cases of water, paper or plastic cutlery, paper products, toiletry items, etc. Items that are glass, require a refrigerator/ freezer, and baby food, can not be accepted. The class with the most donations will receive a doughnut party! Thank you for helping our Beta Students support this cause!

We will be counting down to Christmas with daily themes as we look forward to the holiday season. Calendar of themes will be shared, we hope all will have fun participating. Have a great evening.
