Hello Penderlea Families!

Here are our messages for the week of November 20th, 2023

We will have home soccer games on November 20th and 27th.  The girls game will begin at 3:30pm and the boys game will immediately follow. Gate fee is $5 for school age children and older.  Pender High Booster passes do work for our home games.  Come out and support our Hornets!

Middle School Science Olympiad will have practice on Tuesday November 21st until 4. 

Elementary Science Olympiad will have their first practice on Tuesday November 21t until 4.

For the last three years, Northside Church has partnered with Pender County Schools to provide free meals for Thanksgiving to families. These meals are delivered directly to the families' houses. Northside has provided 2300 meals over the last three years and more than half to Pender County residents. Please see the links below for information. We will have FCA Nov 21st at 4:30pm directly following Soccer practice. For those students who would like to attend that are not on the soccer team they can stay after school for a study hall with Nurse Bain until FCA starts. FCA is for grades 6th-8th, and students do not have to be an athlete to attend. All students will need to be picked up at 5:30pm. Please reach out to Nurse Bain if you have any questions. 

Reminder for bus riders: It is imperative for students to be on time AT THE BUS STOP when the bus arrives. Please share with your child that waiting at the end of the driveway, running out of the house or standing on the porch is not considered being at the bus stop. Drivers have a schedule to keep, and we appreciate your cooperation with this matter.

Finally, We want to thank you for coming out today to support our bring an adult to school day. We had a wonderful time sharing with you all that our children are learning in school. Our children were so proud to have you here, and so were we. Have a safe and restful weekend.
