Hello Penderlea Families!

This is Principal McNeill with this week's announcements and updates.

  • Please make note that there is no school for students on August 22nd. This is a teacher workday.

  • Any middle school student who plans to tryout for ANY sport this year will need a sports physical.  Nurse Bain can do these right at our school if you are enrolled in the PATH program. For more information visit www.pathhealth.org or contact Nurse Bain.

  • There will be a Parent-Athlete Meeting on Monday, August 28th at 5pm in the Media Center. 

  • Parents of athletes who plan to tryout for ANY fall sport (cheer, football, softball, and/or soccer) need to plan to attend. This meeting is MANDATORY.

  • Football tryouts will be August 29th, 30th, and 31st from 4-5:45pm at Penderlea School.

  • Anyone trying out will need to have a current physical on file. There will be a signup sheet outside of Mrs. Umphress’ room for interested athletes.

  • Just a reminder for cheer tryouts.  Mandatory days are Monday the 21st and Monday the 28th.  With Thursday, the 24th being a preferred day, but not mandatory.  Times are 3:05-4:30 and students must already have a physical on file at school in order to stay for tryouts on Monday.

  • Softball tryouts will now be August 21st and August 23rd from 3:00-5:00..  Make sure you have a current physical on file.  There will be a signup sheet outside Mrs Fedoronko’s room.  Please sign up so we can check grades and physicals.  

Stop signs will be going up on August 23rd  in the following areas and it will be a 4-way stop.  Piney Woods at Horse Branch Rd and Penderlea Hwy at Coras Grove Rd at the church. Please be aware of this change. 

Just a reminder that picture day is August 30th.
