Hello Penderlea Families,
This is Principal McNeill with a few important announcements. Please take the time to review the directions associated with our car pool line so that we can all make the car line the most efficient it can be. These are the rules regarding this process that have been followed here at Penderlea for many years and have worked well for us. Please find these below:
From Penderlea Hwy (remember this is a STOP sign now): Turn left on Racoon Rd, right on WH Robbins Rd, right on Eleanor Roosevelt Ln, right on CR Dillard Rd….. this brings you Penderlea auditorium parking lot (or the “old school “ lot) where you most likely will join other car lane friends.
When the car lane is full and down the side of CR Dillard Road, we ask that parents utilize the Eleanor Roosevelt Lane for back up. Doing this keeps the line from backing up into Highway 11. This is an important safety issue.
From Hwy 11 from Willard and from Hwy 421, depending on the time you may need to turn on WH Robbins Rd or E Willarlea Rd or W Willarlea Rd and join the line on Eleanor Roosevelt Lane.
If you choose to turn right at the end of Penderlea Highway and left onto CR Dillard Road, we ask that you go all the way to the end of the car lane and avoid cutting in front of others that are already waiting in line. Please be considerate of those already waiting in line at Penderlea School Road and please... do not merge over or cut into the line. If all follow these simple rules the car line will run much more efficiently, saving everyone time and energy needed elsewhere.
In conclusion, please remember that we have switched from using Do Jo to using Rooms to communicate with parents, please do not message your child's teacher using Do Jo. That is all for today, please have a wonderful afternoon.
