Each child is unique and can succeed. Children are individuals with different rates and paths of development. Each child is uniquely influenced by their prenatal environment, temperament, physiology, and life experiences. With the appropriate support, all children can be successful learners and achieve the skills, behaviors, and knowledge described in the Framework.

The beginning of the year in preschool is a lot about learning new rules and routines and how to get a long with others...and it sure is fun!! Children at Malpass Corner enjoyed dramatic play, art, lots of fine motor activities, and even started using iPads!

Preschool classes will be holding Open House along with their elementary schools on Thursday, August 25th from 4-6pm. We hope to see you there!

Saturday, July 9th- start at the Main Library in Burgaw where you will pick up your activity bag anytime between 10:00 and 11:00 am. Walk the Greenway at your own pace and read the story "Ocean! Waves for All" by Henry Holt while completing the activities from your bag!

Mrs. Cali and Ms. Tiesha's kids at RPES made an Ocean Discovery Bottle as a class. They are getting ready for Summer!




Ms. Tammy and Mrs. Elisha's class went to the park for a Literacy at the Park trip. They read a story, made ocean art, played with play dough, and water painted. Fun day!




We are still smiling from the fun we had during our Field Day last Friday! Thank you to all of the families and community resource vendors for having some "Fun in the Sun" with us!

Summer is coming! The kids in Ms. Coleman and Ms. April's class are making a class mural of the ocean. I wonder what types of sea creatures they will add? #crayonstocareers
