4th Grade students in Mrs. Robinson's class created a Gallery Walk by identifying the main idea in "The Circulatory Story" by Mary Corcoran. They created a poster paraphrasing the main idea, and explained how figurative language helps you understand concepts in reading. Mrs.Hulon's 4th grade Social Studies class wrapped up their first unit on NC Geography with a hands-on salt dough map project! Students followed a recipe, sculpted the NC State shape, and labeled the 3 NC regions. #LearningIsBetterWhenWeAreTogether











-PK will have their first parent meeting in the cafeteria Tuesday, October 1st from 8:00-8:30.
-You are invited to our SIT meeting this Wednesday in the media center at 3:15.
-We can’t wait to see everyone at our Curriculum Night this Thursday. The book fair will be open from 3:30-4:30. We will have a parent information session in the gym and then families will have the opportunity to go to the classrooms and learn about all of the exciting things happening this school year and how to be involved with our school.
-Families, Mrs. Barnes, our music teacher is still collecting cereal boxes that are in good shape. If you have some, please send them in with your child.
-Mark your calendars for October 16th at 4:30. We will have our next PTO meeting. Updates from our last meeting will be discussed as well as upcoming events and dates planning.
