MCES
  • Bullying Prevention Awareness includes educating individuals about the types of bullying, how to individually address bullying through skills and how to report potential concerns to others.  Wear ORANGE this week to support bullying prevention awareness!

  • Tomorrow we will have an early release day.  Dismissal will begin at 11:45.  There will be no school for our Pre-K students.

  • We wanted to update you on what constitutes a full student day on a normal schedule.   If students stay at school until 11:00, they will be counted as at school a full day.

  • Over the next several months, Pender County Schools will embark on creating its next strategic plan. This plan will guide our efforts over the next five years, setting a clear direction, aligning our efforts, and holding us accountable to PCS students, staff, and families. We hope that it will reflect our community’s goals for our students and inform how we prepare each student for their future.

We know that to truly reflect the will of our community, this process must be inclusive of a wide range of perspectives. Gathering this range of perspectives starts with a survey for students, teachers, and community members.  Please take the time to provide your valuable input by filling out the  survey located on our FB page and website. Your input is valued and appreciated.

  • Please join us this Friday night at the PHS Football game for our first Westside Rising evening!  We will give students wristbands this week that will allow them to get into the game for free.  Students will be recognized at halftime and called out to the field.  Parents should accompany students to the game and assist with their supervision.  Admission for parents is $8 cash or $9 if paying with a card.  Kickoff is at 7:30.  We hope to see you under the Friday Night Lights!
