📢 North Carolina law now requires all public schools to show safety education videos to students in grades 6–12 within the first five days of the school year.

🛡️ As part of the Protecting Our Students Act (S.L. 2023-128), these age-appropriate videos help students recognize and report signs of abuse, neglect, or unsafe situations and emphasize that reporting is always confidential.

🎥 Pender County Schools is committed to complying with this mandate and making sure students know how to stay safe and seek help if needed. Look for information from your school in your email or sent home with your student once classes begin.

Beginning Wednesday, June 18 through July 30, families can pick up 5 days’ worth of breakfast 🥣 and lunch 🥪 at four school sites—South Topsail, C.F. A Driver Education class will be held at Heide Trask High School from Monday, June 9, to Friday, June 13, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day. Students must be at least 14 years and 6 months old on the first day of class. Please register on the Pender County Schools website. A parent meeting will be held at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of class. Please bring your child’s birth certificate and $65.00 in cash (no checks will be accepted). Students should bring a notebook and a pencil each day. This is a great opportunity for student-athletes to complete Driver’s Ed without missing practice. A second Driver Education class will be offered from Monday, July 14, to Friday, July 18, 2025, and the same guidelines apply. ATTENTION 25-26 HTHS seniors! A 2nd dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine is due for all 12th grade students by 8/25/25. Students who haven't received this vaccine can visit their healthcare provider's office, our School Based Health Centers, or the Pender Health Department for assistance.

Yesterday, we celebrated our Titan seniors! Today, we celebrate another important Titan, Angel Gallido! He was recently recognized by HES & Pender County as being an outstanding custodian. Way to go, Angel! We know you'll always "be there" for us, and Titan Town will be there for you, too!

Good Afternoon Titan Families, Our Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremony will still take place tomorrow, May 29, 2025. However, out of an abundance of caution, the Heide Trask High School Graduation has been moved indoors to the Main Gymnasium. Doors will open for families and guests at 8:15am, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00am. Graduates received their allocation of 6 tickets at graduation practice earlier today -- 2 tickets for the floor seating and 4 for seating in the bleachers or overflow areas. All spectators will need a ticket for entry. We look forward to hosting you tomorrow as we celebrate the HTHS Class of 2025.

Tomorrow, HTHS seniors will have graduation practice at 9am! Please remember to bring any remaining technology, books, and/or fee money with you to rehearsal. Students who do not return their technology/settle fees will not be permitted to participate in Thursday's ceremony.

Tomorrow (5/22) is the LAST day of school for the 24-25 school year & it's also the LAST day for 9-11th graders to return their school technology.* Failure to return devices by the deadline will result in fees and locked computers. *students attending summer learning will return their device at the end of summer school. *students taking CFCC classes over the summer should visit Ms.Alvin in the library, so she can verify their device.
