📚 The countdown is on—just 38 days until students on our traditional calendar return to school on Monday, August 24!
As we prepare for the 2026–27 school year, families are asked to complete their student’s Beginning of Year Information Update. This update is not required for newly enrolled students.
Keeping contact and emergency information current helps ensure a safe, smooth and successful start from day one.

🎓✨ Upward Bound is opening doors for PCS students!
This federally funded college-prep program serves eligible students at Pender Early College, Pender High, and Heide Trask High School through tutoring, mentoring, college visits, academic enrichment, and a six-week summer experience at Cape Fear Community College — all at ZERO cost to families.
Students are already making the most of the opportunity! Rising Pender Early College seniors Sal Madison and Maritza Mendoza were selected for the National Student Leadership Congress, where only 100 students from across the country were accepted. Maritza’s group even won the Mock Congress debate! 🙌
“TRIO has given me a lot of opportunities that I would’ve never thought I would’ve had,” Maritza said.

🎓 Ready for graduation tomorrow, May 28? 🎉 Join us at Titan Stadium at 9:00 AM — and don’t forget to snap a photo at the 2026 photo-op on the side of the fence (big thanks to Mr. Tarrant, Ms. Buckley, and OCS students for creating it!). Graduates, please be in the aux gym by 7:30 AM.
Seniors, please don't forget about graduation practice TOMORROW at 9AM! Also, if you still have your Chromebook from this year, that needs to be returned by 2pm TOMORROW (May 27). Students who are taking summer CFCC classes will have locked devices if they do not verify their device with Ms. Alvin in person.
Open Spark Lab hours for 5/27 & 5/28 from 1pm - 4pm. Students that want to come in and work on units can come on by.

We are ONE day away from the LAST day of school for the 2025-2026 school year! 🎉🥳This also means that we're nearing the end of our 2025-2026 Chromebook Collection. Please be sure to return your device (or have it verified) by the end of the school day on 5-21.
Spark Lab will be open next week during school hours for any Spark Scholars that would like to work on completing units.
Good luck on your 1st Pd.Exams, Titans!!!! Don't forget your Chromebook and charger. After today's exams & lunch, you will report to 2nd pd.
