Good Evening Titan Family:

This is Mr. Tony Hudson with your weekly Heide Trask High School Update.

Monday, February 20th from 5-6:30pm, Cape Fear Community College will be at HTHS to talk to parents and current 10th and 11th-grade students about the Career and College Promise Program.  Plan to join us to learn how taking Cape Fear classes while in high school can benefit you! 

The ASVAB will be held Thursday, February 23rd, for students in 10th-12th grades.  The ASVAB is not only for military placement but also for students who want to learn more about their career interests.  A signup link has been sent to students in the Google Classroom.  

A final reminder that the State Employees Credit Union Scholarship is due to Mrs. Yates by March 1st.  Seniors and parents can review all scholarship offerings in their Google Classroom. 

The Heide Trask Athletic Boosters are hosting their annual BBQ Plate Sale on Friday, February 24th.  This is a fundraiser to help the cost of the Athletic Banquet in May for all athletes.  Contact them by email at hthsathleticbooster@gmail.com or by Facebook to reserve your plates.  You can also order online at https://square.link/u/xn2QvUDL.  Orders of 10 or more can be delivered to local businesses.  Also, they are looking for help with packing and delivering on Friday, the 24th starting at 8:30 a.m.  Please let them know if you can help.  

February 28th is Job Shadow Day.  All students are encouraged to shadow someone in a field they find of interest.  Applications can be found in Student Services. Please visit our school webpage for more information and a calendar of events of CTE Month activities.
