Weekly Information for Families - 8/29 - 9/2
Hello C F Pope Panther Families Tomorrow’s the first day of school for our students and we look forward to seeing them. K-5 students can be dropped off in the car lane at the back of the school beginning at 7:10am through 7:30am. The tardy bell rings at 7:35am and K-5 will dismiss at 2:35pm. Parents/guardians will not be permitted to walk students to class. We will have staff members throughout the building to help students get to their classes. Breakfast and lunch will be available this year for a cost. Please go online to fill out a Free Lunch application to determine if your child is eligible. Paper applications are available upon request. It is very important that you send a note with your child informing the teacher of how your child is to get home, yours, and other emergency contact information if you have not done so already. This information is sent as a phone call and email to parents and will be shortened in the weeks to come.
All parents are required to complete a Beginning of the Year update in Scribbles online to update student information using the link on the PCS website. Just click on enroll at the top of the main page. You will need to register an account prior to completing the update. Without an update, students may not be able to continue to ride the bus. Please upload a proof of residence and continue to check your email to determine if you need to upload additional documents and information.
Kindergarten families are reminded to upload their child’s recent NC Health Assessment forms or immunizations in Scribbles or send them with the student. Unfortunately, if these are not turned in by Sept. 23, by law we will exclude the student from school until they are complete and received. Please call the school nurse with any questions.
Bus riders need to be at the bus stop 10-15 minutes early, remind them to wait for the driver’s hand signal if crossing the road, follow all bus rules and our K-2 students must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling for dropoff/pickup. If no one is present, students may be brought back to school to be picked up. Thank you for being patient as bus drivers learn the routes and adjust due to changes in students scheduled to ride the bus. If students miss the bus, do not try to catch up with the bus at the next stop, please take the child(ren) on to the school.

Hola Familias CF Pope Panther Mañana es el primer día de clases para nuestros estudiantes y esperamos verlos. Se puede dejar a los estudiantes de K-5 en el carril para automóviles en la parte trasera de la escuela a partir de las 7:10 a. m. hasta las 7:30 a. m. La campana de tardanza suena a las 7:35 am y K-5 saldrá a las 2:35 pm. No se permitirá que los padres/tutores lleven a los estudiantes a clase.
