Reminder-- NO SCHOOL Fri. 3/29 & Mon. 4/1

Good Evening Panther Families,

This call and email includes our school’s weekly message. The weekly message is to keep families informed of important processes, expectations, supports, and events that our school has in place or upcoming. If you are not already, please follow C.F. Pope Elementary on Facebook and visit our school’s website frequently. In addition to our weekly messages, these platforms are updated regularly throughout the week.

Parents and guardians of car riders we appreciate your support with backing up your arrival time for pick-up to help us maintain compliance with the town. Our goal is to ensure cars stay off N Wright Street to prevent the blocking of driveways and intersections. As a reminder we ask that cars do not arrive before 2:30, as we are not able to move cars up until all students are off the playground from Recess. School dismisses at 2:35 and students are prepared to leave campus by car at 2:45.

Our after school program started last Tuesday and will resume tomorrow! Parents, student pick up will be through our designated car rider line at the back of the school.

As a reminder tomorrow we will host Report Card Pick-up and Curriculum night from 4-6 p.m. ! All report cards that are not picked up will be sent home on Wednesday, March 27. This is a great opportunity to see what your child is learning and schedule a parent-teacher conference. Conferences will not be held tomorrow night, but teachers will provide you with an opportunity to schedule a conference time that meets your needs.

Important Reminders are as followed:

Our school’s start time is 7:35 and dismissal time is at 2:35. Students will be received from buses and cars beginning at 7:10. The front office does not open until 7:30. If you report to the car ride lane after 7:30, you will need to drive around to the front entrance. After 7:35 all students must be checked in at the front office by an adult.

Ensuring students are at school and on time are vital to the success of every student and their learning. We are working diligently to improve our attendance rate and need your support in making sure that students are in school each day. If your child is out sick, please make sure your child’s teacher has been informed.

All parents and visitors will be required to present a valid ID for checkout and school visitation.

Any individual checking a student out or visiting the campus must be listed in PowerSchool

If you have a student who is a bus rider, please download the Here Comes the Bus App. Our district’’s code is 29081. To track your child’s bus you will need their Student ID number. If you do not know your child’s Student ID number, a written request should be submitted to your child’s teacher. The teacher will provide the number on a physical piece of paper in response, as this information will not be shared electronically for personal identification protection. Bus riders should be standing at the bus stop 10-15 minutes early, wait for the driver’s hand signal if crossing the road, follow all bus rules, and K-2 students must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling for dropoff/pickup. If unaccompanied, they may be brought back to school for parent pickup

In our attempt to maximize instructional learning, student checkout will not be permitted after 2:00 p.m. Special circumstances will be evaluated on an individual basis by administration.

We appreciate your continuous support. Please contact the school at 910-259-0145 if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great afternoon and we look forward to seeing students in the morning!
