It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that we inform our community of the recent passing of Ms. Tiffany Blake. Ms. Blake was serving as a tutor and supported our K-5 STEM special. She started working with Pender County Schools in 2015 and continued to serve students in the Burgaw community over the past eight years. Outside of the school system, she served several students through her own private tutoring services.
Ms. Blake’s genuine spirit, love for children, and willingness to help others will greatly be missed by our students, staff, and community.
The staff held a debriefing this morning to reflect on her impact and the legacy she has left behind. Additional counselors will be on campus Monday, January 8 to support students and staff.
