This week, students all around the country will participate in various literacy activities and events that showcase the importance and excitement of reading! This week at C.F. Pope, our students are experiencing a variety of new books and genres by participating in a Book Tasting in the Media Center. Students have new books to choose from for their appetizer, entree, and dessert. For each course, students preview a new book and reflect on that book to decide if it is a series, author, or genre that they are interested in reading further. This is an exciting and excellent way for students to be introduced to new books that will open and expand their literary horizons! This event has been a hit already with our students and we cannot wait to see their excitement continue to grow for reading and books!
