Our last basketball games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25th vs. Topsail MS. Come out and support The Grizzlies and honor our 8th graders in their last home basketball game.
School reassignment message -
■ In an effort to accommodate the educational preferences of families in the Pender County School District, officials have opened the reassignment request period for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Parents who wish to enroll their students in a Pender County school outside of their designated zone, with the exception of Pender Early College and Pender Innovative Learning Academy, are encouraged to participate in the application process.
■ Due to schools in the Topsail and Surf City school districts being over capacity, no new applications will be accepted. However, students who currently attend these schools on reassignment will have the opportunity to complete an application. Specific guidance on completing this application process will be provided by your student’s school.
■ The application period opens on February 1, 2025, allowing parents ample time to consider alternative educational options for their children. The deadline for submitting reassignment requests is March 31, 2025.

For 6th grade students and families:
Our 6th grade staff has planned a field trip for March 13th to the Museum of Coastal Carolina and Ingram Planetarium. Students will be receiving a field trip permission slip this week. Also, we will need parent volunteers to help as chaperones. Our staff will be communicating with you about this opportunity. Thank you for supporting our students and staff.
