Attendance Rate - FIRST WEEK ATTENDANCE RATE: 98%!!!!!!
Thank you parents and students for making this first week a successful one. 6th grade attendance was 98.49%, 7th grade was 99.35% and 8th grade was 97.11%. Congrats and keep up the good work.
Mobile Dental Clinic
The Mobile Dental clinic will be on campus from August 26th through September 19th. The clinic provides dental services to children during school and after school hours. Dental services are also available for school staff, parents and all members of the community. If you have dental insurance, they can file it. Also, they can check to see if your student qualifies for Medicaid or the Sliding Fee Scale. If you have any questions, please call 910-471-3250. Pender County Health Department Mobile Dental Clinic.
Congrats:
Mr Odom applied for and received one of 25 grants given out nationwide to allow a team of our students to compete in the American Rocketry Challenge! The American Rocketry Challenge is the world’s largest rocket contest with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing each year. The contest gives middle and high school students the opportunity to design, build, and launch model rockets. The hands-on experience reinforces engineering concepts. If our team's rocket qualifies, they will get the opportunity to travel to Virginia for National Launch Day where they could win up to $20,000 out of the $100,000 in prizes awarded each year.
Check in/Check out information
Parents, we ask that if you are checking in/out a student at CFM or CFE, to please exit that building and enter the other school’s front door to check in/out any additional siblings. If you are checking out your student, please do so before 2pm. Friendly Reminder: If you are dropping your student off after 8:00 a.m. you need to come in and sign your student in; you will be called back to sign them in if you don’t come in.
