Open House is Wednesday, August 21st from 4pm-6pm. This is an opportunity for your child to receive his/her class schedule, meet teachers, and receive bus assignments. We will have homeroom teacher lists for students on each grade level hallway. Your child's homeroom teacher will have your son/daughter's schedule and other important CFMS information. A chromebook agreement must be signed by every parent/guardian in order for your child to receive a chromebook. This form will be available at Open House. The PTO will be on site selling Grizzly wear. Chucks Ice Cream truck will be on site along with the Carbajal family that will be selling Tamales, Popusas, and Street Corn. Open House
Athletics
In preparation for our upcoming football, softball and cheerleading sports seasons, we want to make you aware that our athletic forms documentation will go all digital through Big Teams Student Central. This is where you will upload physical forms and necessary paperwork to compete in athletics. Every parent and student will need to create an account. Football and Softball practice/tryouts will start August 19th. Football practice will be from 3 to 5 on the 19th. Softball practice time is 6-8pm. Cheerleading tryouts will start August 27th from 3 to 4:30pm. The following links are updated football and softball schedules.

Attached are our insurance forms for the coming school year. This coverage is supplemental to the insurance that families already have and will not cover all other expenses, but will help. This does not take the place of the insurance that is required by board policy for athletic participation. That insurance may be purchased at www.k12studentinsurance.com. For the 2024-2025 school year, Pender County Schools will be participating in a program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). What does this mean for you and your child/children? Breakfast and lunch will be provided, at no cost, to all CFMS students. Families are not required to sign up to participate in this program.
