Rising 8th graders who are highly motivated have an opportunity to attend a Pre-College Academy and summer college prep program through CFCC Upward Bound. Upward Bound is a rigorous year-round college preparatory program that develops scholars and provides services such as cultural enrichment workshops, academic tutoring, SAT/ACT prep, university/college tours and more. UPDATED TUTORING TIMES AND OFFERINGS 

We are offering Saturday, January 27th from 9am to 12 pm as a day for students to attend tutoring, catch up on work, or get support to complete missing assignments.  We will have food available for our students. Plan on dropping off and picking up your student in the front of the school.   After School Tutoring Form

After-school tutoring will be available for students every week.  Snacks will be provided for our students.  If you are interested in having your student attend you must complete the form below. Tutoring will run from 2:30 until 4:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students will need to be picked up by 4:30pm each day.  As a bonus for attending tutoring, we will let students in free to home athletic events if it falls on a tutoring day.  Our first home basketball game is Thursday, January 25th.  Transportation services are not available at this time. All 8th graders will visit HTHS on February 6th from 9:00-10:30 to learn about high school requirements, elective options, athletic opportunities and club choices. (Provide opt out form information) Also on Tuesday February 6th, HTHS will be hosting a parent and student night from 5:30-7:00. Students and parents can learn about elective options, graduation requirements and academic opportunities. Students can also register for elective classes during this time. If students do not register for electives during the parent night they will register at school at a later date.
