The Pender Mobile Dental Clinic is now at CFMS. The clinic provides routine and basic dental treatment to ALL interested students, parents and staff. If you would like to take advantage of the dental services they provide, call the mobile clinic at 910-471-3250 and leave your child’s name and a phone number. A form will be sent to your student or have your child pick up a form in the school office. After completing the form, please return it to your child’s homeroom teacher or the school nurse. Please be aware that every effort is made to treat your child during elective classes so they are not missing out on core class instruction. The Dental Clinic will be at CFMS through Sept. 21, 2023.
We will begin rewarding students and encouraging positive behavior here at CFMS. Students will receive recognition for arriving at school every day on time, responsible attendance, making good choices during class, transitions, (or in the hallway), in the cafeteria, and while on the bus to and from school. Parents, we ask that if you are checking in/out a student at CFM or CFE, to please exit that building and enter the other school’s front door to check in/out any additional siblings.
In order to make our car rider line more efficient, we need your help. Whenever your vehicle reaches our sidewalk, please have your student exit the vehicle. This will help improve dropoff times in the morning. A focus of ours this year is In School, On Time and Engaged and this will help our students get to class on time. Also, our staff begins car line duty at 7:00am. Do not let your student(s) out until we have staff that can effectively monitor our students at 7:00am.
ENHANCING PARENT-TEACHER COMMUNICATION: INTRODUCING PENDER COUNTY SCHOOLS APP'S NEW FEATURES
We are excited to introduce an innovative way to enhance communication between you, your child's teachers, and our schools. With this addition, staying up-to-date with important district-wide information, school updates, and your student's classes has never been easier.
To access these new features, parents and guardians will soon receive detailed instructions via email and text on how to create their login to access "Rooms" within the district app. We aim to have this available to you prior to your child's Open House event in August.
We understand the importance of fostering strong connections between parents and educators to support your child's academic journey. The parent-teacher chat and classroom announcements feature is designed to streamline communication and keep you informed about your child's progress, upcoming events, and more.
