Open House is Wednesday, August 23rd from 4pm-6pm. This is an opportunity for your child to receive his/her class schedule, meet teachers, receive bus assignments and get your parent portal PowerSchool login. We will have homeroom teacher lists for students on each grade level hallway. Your child's homeroom teacher will have your son/daughter's schedule and other important CFMS information. The PTO will be on site selling Grizzly wear. Snowie of The Carolinas shaved ice truck will be on site. Also, the Carbajal family will be selling Tamales, Popusas, and Street Corn. Open House

The start of the 2023-2024 school year is right around the corner! In an effort to streamline the process, Pender County Schools has created an online form allowing you to update your returning student's beginning of the year information. The form must be completed for returning students to receive a Chromebook for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have already completed it, thank you and please ignore the future messages in regards to the BOY. The way you know if you have completed the BOY is at the very end after you submit the application you will see a confirmation order number and an email.
This electronic form has replaced the paper packets sent home each year to all returning students. You can access the form by following this link and then scrolling down to "Beginning of the Year Updates 2023-2024".
To update a student's information please follow the instructions below.
Log into your family dashboard.
A list of associated students will be displayed. You will need to click on the pencil next to the student's name and then update the profile for all active students.
Next, click on the "Green Submit Application" button.
On the next page, click the Blue Begin Application for (Students Name).
Once updated, the current applications available for that student will appear and Choose the Beginning of Year Updates 2023-2024.
The form must be completed for returning students to receive a Chromebook for the 2023-2024 school year.

An immunization clinic for all Pender County Schools middle and high school students has been scheduled through a partnership with the Pender County Health Department.
The clinic will take place in the auxiliary gym at Heide Trask High School on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 8 am until noon.
This clinic is only for middle and high school students who need the T-DAP and meningitis vaccination.
While not available at this clinic, other vaccinations are required by the state (fact sheet https://5il.co/1pttk, Spanish - https://5il.co/1pttj). Plan ahead with your doctor's office or clinic to ensure your child is up to date on their immunizations ahead of the 2023-2024 school year. Please contact your healthcare provider or school nurse if you have questions.
