5/14 Weekly Update

Cape Fear Middle School will host a Summer Learning Program as an additional educational program from June 15th to June 30th. Students will be taught by licensed, highly qualified teachers. The focus will be to close learning gaps, provide leadership and enrichment opportunities and prepare students for the next school year.  Bus transportation and cafeteria services will be offered.  We will be sending home information with our students regarding this opportunity.  If you have not received information and would like your child to attend, please fill out this Summer Learning Google Form.

EOG Testing Dates:

May 16th  Math

May 18th  ELA

May 23rd  8th grade science

Next week is our opportunity to show the district what a great school, community and staff we have.  Our students have put in a lot of hard work in the classroom and we want everyone focused and ready to do well on their EOG’s.  One of our goals is for our school to exceed growth every year, meaning our students have learned more in one year than what’s expected of them.  We know this can happen so let’s make it happen next week.  Let’s do this!

We are asking that all students charge their chromebooks the night before testing.  A positive and stress free environment is vital and this will help our students to settle in and do well.

Yearbooks-  We had an issue with our yearbooks. The names were not printed for our 7th grade students.  We are going to order inserts with 7th grade student pictures and names.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
