One Book One School

We are excited to launch our 5th year of One Book One School here at CFE. “One Book, One School” is a  national program from the non-profit organization “Read to Them” which was designed to strengthen the educational connection between home and school. With this program we will build a Community of Readers at our school by all reading the same book!

I am so excited that our school voted and chose Fenway and Hattie by Victoria J. Coe for our One Book One School book this year.  We will be kicking it off on February 1st to help celebrate "Love to Read Month". Each student will receive a copy of the book for them to keep. This book should only take about 2-3 weeks to complete. Each morning there will be trivia questions asked  and daily prizes for the class that answers the question correctly.

A calendar with dates and chapters will be shared with all families so they can follow along and continue to bridge that gap between school and home.

We hope you enjoy “Fenway and Hattie” and treasure the time reading with your student!
