Attention all interested 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! Our fall Stride and Girls on the Run season begins Tuesday, October 1st! Make sure to register ASAP using the link: www.ymcasenc.org/gotr! Only 20 slots available on each team! Looking forward to another PAWesome season!
ll 5th-grade students will take the Beginning of Year Science Benchmark assessment on Monday, September 16th. All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the Math Benchmark assessment on Wednesday, September 8th. Parents, we kindly request that you ensure your child gets a restful night's sleep and arrives at school on time to get breakfast and be fully prepared to focus and demonstrate their knowledge. These assesments will be used to track your childs progress throughout the year as well as help us identify areas where students are doing well and where they may need extra support. This ensures we can provide the right resources and instruction to help every child succeed.

For parents of kindergarten students, please ensure that you have submitted all required
kindergarten health assessments and immunization records by September 24th.
The Pender Mobile Dental Clinic is currently stationed at Cape Fear Elementary School until September 19th. This clinic offers routine and basic dental treatment to all interested students, parents, and staff.
Due to transitioning to our new information system, the 24-25 Opt-Out Notification Form
To Prevent or Restrict Release of Certain Student Information is in paper form. We can send a copy home with your child if you would like to opt out or you can pick up one from the school. Just let your child's teacher know.
This is a reminder if you need to change your child’s transportation arrangements, please send a note to your child’s teacher. This helps us accurately track and implement any changes. If a change must be made by phone, please contact us by 2:00 pm to ensure we have sufficient time to inform the teacher and student before the school day ends. We understand that emergencies may arise, but adhering to this process is essential for ensuring every student reaches their destination safely.
Additionally, there are no checkout after 2:00pm. When signing your child out, please remain inside the office. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us keep our school running smoothly.
