We are writing to inform you of your student’s participation in a brief survey to assist us in addressing the well-being of our students on December 18, 2023. With a continued commitment to addressing barriers to learning, we are asking that all students enrolled in our school complete the Renaissance Fundamentals survey. Developed by a team of educational psychologists from multiple universities, Renaissance Fundamentals (formerly PASS) provides teachers with highly reliable and valid information into how they feel about themselves as a learner and how they feel about school. Available in over twenty languages, Renaissance Fundamentals allows schools to detect possible barriers to student learning, including issues around confidence, resilience, motivation, and concentration. The Renaissance Fundamentals survey will allow our school to proactively address non-academic barriers to learning, which can compromise the well-being and academic success of our students. During the coming year, Renaissance Fundamentals will be administered in the Winter and Spring. Please be assured that student confidentiality will be strictly protected.
If you DO NOT want your child to participate in this survey, please fill out the form that was sent home on Friday, December 8th, and send it back to school no later than Thursday, Dec 14.
