Burgaw Middle School

Ms. Cavenaugh's students are busy learning to read fluently. Every week the Red Team practices a new sight word text and on Fridays they read aloud for their class and sometimes visitors. The Blue Team is increasing their fluency rate by leaps and bounds. They have timed readings twice a week.  Last week, their read aloud focused on high-frequency vocabulary words from stories called "I Go You Go" and "I Go to a Bear." This showcase was performed in front of both administrators and teachers. Way to go Red and Blue Teams!!
