As we celebrate School Board Appreciation Month, we recognize the dedication and leadership of Beth Burns, the current Chair of the Pender County Board of Education. Representing District 2, Ms. Burns has been a steadfast advocate for education since she first joined the board in 2018. Her current term spans from 2022 to 2026, during which she continues to champion the needs of students, educators, and families across the district.
Ms. Burns brings a collaborative and inclusive approach to her role, striving to ensure that all students, regardless of their abilities or circumstances, have access to quality education. Her leadership style is marked by approachability and active engagement, as she regularly attends school events, and community activities to stay connected with those she serves.
Though she recently assumed the role of Chair, Ms. Burns’ extensive service on the board has made a lasting impact on Pender County Schools. Her commitment to fostering positive relationships and supporting initiatives that benefit the district underscores her dedication to educational excellence and community engagement.
During School Board Appreciation Month, we extend our gratitude to Ms. Burns for her service and commitment to our community.
