PENDER COUNTY, N.C. - Pender County residents and visitors are encouraged to lend their voices to the development of the Pender County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP). Collaborating with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Pender County, Pender County Municipalities, and the Cape Fear Rural Transportation Planning Organization, the initiative aims to shape the future of transportation in the area.
Scheduled to run from June 1st to September 1st, the initiative invites individuals to participate in an online survey, providing valuable insights and comments regarding the county's transportation needs and aspirations.
"The Comprehensive Transportation Plan is an essential tool for mapping out the future of transportation infrastructure in Pender County," said Mike Taylor, PCS Chief Officer of Auxiliary Services. "We want to ensure that the plan accurately reflects the needs and desires of our community, and that's why we're urging everyone, residents and visitors alike, to take part in this survey."
Participants can access the survey through the links at the top of the page.
The feedback collected will play a pivotal role in defining the vision, goals, and objectives of Pender County's long-term transportation strategy. By engaging the community in this process, organizers hope to create a plan that addresses current challenges and anticipates future demands, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation for all.
