HAMPSTEAD, NC - Three Topsail High school (THS) students have been selected to represent their school and region as members of the South East Regional Officer Team for North Carolina HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). These dedicated young leaders, under the guidance of THS HOSA Advisor Miranda Wells, have proven their commitment to healthcare education and their communities, earning well-deserved recognition for their accomplishments.
HOSA is a nationwide organization that encourages and supports students interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare industry. It offers a platform for students to develop their leadership and professional skills while also engaging in community service and educational activities. Each year, students from across North Carolina vie for a chance to be part of the prestigious South East Regional Officer Team.
This year, three students from THS, located in the South East region, have risen to the occasion and earned their spots on the coveted officer team.
As the newly appointed President of the South East Regional Officer Team, Kiera McClean has showcased exceptional leadership skills and a strong passion for healthcare. She has actively participated in numerous HOSA events and projects, demonstrating a commitment to improving healthcare accessibility in underserved communities.
Charley Kissick, now serving as the Secretary of the South East Regional Officer Team, has shown an interest in healthcare and an ability to inspire others. Her strong communication skills will undoubtedly help facilitate collaboration among HOSA chapters throughout the region.
Completing the officer team, Clara Smith has taken up the role of Treasurer. Her attention to financial matters, dedication to transparency, and commitment to responsible financial management will be instrumental in ensuring that the team's resources are utilized efficiently.
