*UPDATE - Water has been restored to Penderlea School and a boil water advisory is in place until Friday. Bottled water will be provided to students and staff throughout the day Thursday. Food service will be prepared on-site using ovens. Thursday’s menu will include baked items and cold fruit and vegetables. Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this process.
We regret to inform you that a recent water line break has led to a loss of water at Penderlea School. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and want to assure you that the school district has taken immediate action to address the situation.
To ensure the well-being and comfort of our students, the school district is providing bottled drinking water and water for sanitary purposes throughout the outage.
Classes are on as scheduled for Thursday, July 20, 2023.
If water service has not been restored, a cold breakfast will be served Thursday morning. A hot lunch will be prepared at C.F. Pope Elementary and transported to Penderlea School for lunch service.
We are in communication with officials and anticipate additional updates will be provided as progress is made. PCS will communicate those updates as they are received.
Please be assured that the safety and comfort of your children remain our top priority, and we will do everything possible to minimize disruptions to their daily routines.
