BURGAW, NC - Paula King-Jacobs, Assistant Principal at Burgaw Middle School, has been chosen to take part in the 2023-2024 Future-Ready Leadership (FRL) Program.
This program, offered by the NC Principals and Assistant Principals' Association, follows the performance evaluation standards established by the State Board of Education for school leaders in North Carolina.
"I am excited to continue my journey with NCPAPA and continue my growth with Pender County Schools," Ms. Jacobs-King said. "This is a wonderful opportunity that I plan to take full advantage of."
As part of a group, assistant principals will attend six in-person sessions, and complete assignments, projects, and readings, all aimed at enhancing the capabilities of their schools and their own skills as "Future-Ready" educational leaders.
The 2023-2024 cohort sessions will be held in Raleigh and Chapel Hill, starting on September 12, 2023, and concluding on March 6, 2024.
The graduation ceremony is scheduled for May 1, 2024.
