Instructional Services
The Instructional Services Division supports Pender County Schools teachers as they implement the North Carolina Standard Course of Study with the goal of ensuring that each student receives a rigorous and engaging experience. This will fulfill the PCS vision that "Students are prepared to have choices in the world that awaits them." This is accomplished in the following 3 ISD goals:
Developing Capacity
Our goals include helping to strengthen the instructional leadership capacity of our teachers and principals to ensure that every student has a pathway to take what they learn in the classroom to a future career.
Engaging All Stakeholders
Our goals include helping to strengthen all school, parent, and community partnerships to ensure our students are career ready when they graduate. The input from these partners are critical to ensure our students are prepared to make choices both while in school and once they graduate.
Improving Student Outcomes
Our goals include using researched-based strategies and student achievement data to ensure our students are engaged in a rigorous learning environment that results in improved student outcomes.
