Burgaw, NC – Pender County Schools welcomes Dominique Bates as the newest member of the PCS family. Dominique is the new Director of Career & Technical Education.
A native of Salisbury, NC, Dominique has been involved in education for 12 years, the last eight in CTE leadership. Dominique comes to PCS after serving as the Interim CTE Director of Rowan Salisbury Schools.
“My vision for the students of this school district is to ensure that every student is enrolled, enlisted or employed upon graduation,” said Mr. Bates.
Dominique doesn’t come to Pender County Schools alone; his wife Kathryn will join Topsail High School as an Assistant Principal pending Board approval. The Bates have a four-year old daughter who will join our Pre-k system this upcoming school year.
