Malpass Corner Elementary's School Improvement Team meets regularly to discuss ideas for improving our school and teaching methods. They also meet to discuss concerns and issues pertaining to our students, teachers, and staff. Yearly, the team revises our School Improvement Plan which outlines goals and strategies.

Our School Improvement Plan is located in NCStar, which is a school improvement planning tool. NCStar has 12 key indicators plus additional indicators that can be selected to target specific areas of improvement. • Student discipline referrals will decrease 5% by students following classroom rules and procedures which are reinforced daily by all faculty and staff through consistent, effective, positive classroom management.

• 100% of teachers will deliver evidence-based instruction daily that is aligned with the instructional needs for each student using the MTSS tiered framework of support.

• All teacher's effectiveness will increase, as measured by EVAAS.

• All students will increase their academic performance as evidenced by EVAAS and district wide benchmarks.

• MCES will provide all students and families regular communication regarding student academics/social-emotional well-being, classroom/school events and other family engagement opportunities.
